Nick Cowley - CO-Founder

Nick studied at Wellington College (1991-1996) and Nottingham University, after which he joined the British Army. During his Army career he has conducted multiple tours of Iraq, Afghanistan and the Balkans. Last year Nick completed a Masters of Strategy at the National Defence University in the US and he is currently commanding The Queen’s Royal Hussars tank regiment in Germany.  Nick was awarded a Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in 2009 and an MBE in 2015. 

Nick had the idea of creating Momentum (now The Talent Tap) in 2012 and along with Ru Taylor he has run it since.

rupert Taylor - CO-Founder

Rupert studied at Wellington College (1991-1996) and Durham University, after which he began a career in finance. Rupert spent 13 years working for a number of investment banks, including Cazenove, Lehman Brothers and Nomura, working in equities and trading. Since 2014 Rupert has set up a number of small businesses is also an active investor in early stage companies. He is presently CEO of a financial data company called AltFi Data. He continues to live in London, his home town, and is happy to extol the virtues of life in the capital to anyone who will listen.

naomi ambrose - Ceo

Naomi joined The Talent Tap as CEO in 2018 just before the summer programme, and hit the ground running! Naomi’s last role was as a Director at Fisher Productions one of the UK’s leading event production companies where she worked for 8 years heading up a team. She is also a Director of Dust Architecture which she founded with her husband in 2010 and is well versed in setting up and running small businesses.

Naomi’s role at The Talent Tap is to hone it and grow it! She brings passion and energy to the position, along with strong organisation skills and cross industry knowledge from her time in events organising communication strategies for corporate clients.

Naomi has 3 children, likes to run and sail and loves a challenge!

Simon Francis


Simon Francis is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in Global Markets, raising financing for companies globally. He joined in 2005, and before that worked at UBS AG from 2001. Simon has a BA in Economics from Cambridge University, where he was President of the Selwyn College Economics Society. Simon attended Wellington College from 1992-1997. He is a passionate believer in Education in the UK, and has been involved with Momentum for 4 years.

 

Jo LIVINGSTON

Jo is a Director at Freuds, a London based Public Relations agency.  She specializes in crisis and issues management as well as personal reputation management and heads up a team providing 24/7 strategic counsel for individuals both celebrities and CEOs. She currently looks after Sir Mo Farah, Heston Blumenthal and David Haye amongst others. Jo has worked at Freuds for two years.  Previously she was employed by freuds for five years before leaving for two years to be Brand and Communications Director at the Gordon Ramsay Group and publicist for Gordon Ramsay. There she was responsible for all communications for the chef and his restaurant company.  

Previous to this Jo has worked as a PR Director for Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean island of Antigua as well as PR Manager for LA Fitness Health Clubs in London and a Consultant at a global PR agency.  Jo entered PR through a graduate recruitment scheme after gaining a degree in Economic and Social History at Bristol University. 


 

ROB EASTON

Rob Easton is Global Account Director for Amazon Web Services. He joined Amazon in April 2016 and leads a team for the oil and gas sector as a whole. Rob began his career joining the highly acclaimed HP graduate program and set out learning all sales and marketing skills across the IT industry. Following 4 years there, he saw the market moving to virtualization and joined VMware in 2003, just 1 of 8 employees in Europe. He delivered exceptional growth and expansion across many global customers and led the Enterprise Sales team for the last 2 years of a successful 10-year tenure. 

In 2013, Rob moved to Google and led the UK&I Cloud business with a strong operational cadence and built a solid team partnering with many system integrators and VC investors. In 2015, Rob was brought in by a startup DataStax as Vice President of Northern EMEA, leading a successful team to excellent 1st year growth. 

Outside of work, Rob is a keen golfer, skier, squash player and along with his wife Rebecca they have 2 girls to keep them busy. Rob holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Nottingham University. Rob was at Wellington in the Anglesey from 1990 to 1995.
